Wine and Apples, Apples and Wine
Fall is right around the corner. With that comes pretty leaves, apples, and wine! Ok, we have wine year round... but the fall is a perfect excuse for OYFP to host a Wine Tasting and Apple Picking event at the Nashoba Valley Winery in Bolton, MA. This year you won't have to argue over who's going to be the Designated Driver, because OYFP is renting a bus! In addition, our trip coincides with their annual Apple Festival. What luck (slash good planning on our part)!
Tickets: No longer available online. There are seven seats left. Call 339-224-0696 (Casey) or show up Sunday morning with $35 in hand.
What: A wine tasting at the Nashoba Valley Winery. Your ticket (for $30) includes the wine tasting, a complimentary glass from the winery, a tour, transportation to and from the winery, entrance to the Apple Festival, and breakfast from Starbucks. What a deal! Any apples you pick (and buy) will be at an additional cost.
Location: The school buses will pick us up on the Boston Common between the Common and the Public Gardens on Charles St. They will take us to Bolton, MA.
Time: Breakfast (sponsored by Starbucks) will be available from 9 AM until 9:45 AM, and the busses will leave at 10 AM sharp. Busses return from the vineyard at 3 PM, arriving in Boston at 4 PM at the Common.
Beneficiary: The funds raised from this event will go to On Your Feet Project. We are hurting in the funds department because 95% of all funds raised go to our non-profit partners. However, without funds we can't have larger events, which always require cashola up front. So, you're helping us help our partners. Convoluted, but valuable!
